About Pop Goes the 60"s

The 1960’s saw

it being one of the most turbulent times both socially and musically. It

was a decade that literally exploded with musical genres. Starting at the Be-bop carryover from

the 50’s, we heard music from Rockabilly, Surf, Motown, British Invasion,

Folk, Psychedelic, Jazz Rock and San Francisco just to name a few.

Pop Goes The 60’s is an interactive video presentation which includes

original film footage, pictures, anecdotes and artist biographies. Be ready to hear the songs which

turned the music world upside down!

There are 5 separate classes available for presentation:

Psychedelic

Novelty Songs

This is a single class which reviews music as it is used through soundtracks, to create those unforgettable scenes. Excerpts from favorites as Jaws, Vertigo, Pirates of the Caribbean, A Few God Men and Jurassic Park are but a few of the movies that will be excerpted.

A History of the Music Video










This is available in 5 sessions, but can be presented individually. The classes chronicle the early development of the music video up through the start of MTV. Separate classes review History, Divas & Dudes, Where are they Now, The Video as Creative Medium and the Official Best & worst list.
